Find out how to assemble an Alien Eye Mountain Bike Lamp using the Milliput Black two part Epoxy. I have been making dolls for 20 years. Through my company Nukkeateljee Leena Takalo I sell my own artist dolls and doll products. I also run doll courses (modelling, mould making, restoring etc.) and provide restoration services. In recent years I have produced complete mangers for churches in Finland. You can see my first manger project as a journal at www.nukke.fi/seimiprojekti.htm. I have used Milliput in all the jewellery, swords, boxes, shoes, rods, bands and crowns in these photographs. I have also fixed skeletons to the hands and feet with Standard Milliput. Milliput is an important product in my restoration work and I could not manage without it. My company, Kallamity, produces sci-fi resin models. I have been using Superfine White Milliput since 2000 and it has changed my life. I have discovered the meaning of "full scratchbuilt part" and now make all my master patterns with Milliput and consider it the best product for modellers for it's I work with Milliput for sculpting and to incorporate other details to my scratchbuilt shapes. In my experience, I find wetting my sculpting tools makes working with Milliput easier. I also use denaturated alcohol to obtain a smooth surface. You can intermix the grades of Milliput, for example, I have mixed Black Milliput with Superfine White Milliput creating a beautiful 'grey' putty with very visible details. He has very kindly sent us some excellent photographs for our Gallery Page. Mostly he uses clay or plasticine to create the original model to make the mould from which the wax is formed in the process of casting a bronze sculpture. These materials are usually modelled on an armature or skeleton of firm wire or metal rods. However for smaller models of birds he frequently uses Milliput as, once set, it can be treated quite roughly without any damage or alteration of form. The Jacana that is pictured was created this way. Another way that he utilises Milliput is to create a skull of the animal that he is about to make in, this was especially helpful as in the case of the Hippo pictured, he needed to open the mouth and have the dentition in the correct order.
