Cardinal Bird

I started using Milliput over thirty years ago to make tiny figurative pieces. However, I am much more interested now in larger scale pieces and I use Milliput as the final surface on these larger pieces. It is a fantastic material because it is so versatile. It models beautifully, it takes surface impressions beautifully and it carves beautifully. The process of blending the two parts together allow for a reflective time before I add to what I'm making and I find this very helpful in maintaining concentration through out the creative process.

Here is a Cardinal Bird that I made with a steel armature and Milliput. It is in Peter O'Toole's Collection.
